Almost 2 years ago I needed to find some assistance/ care for my father to help my mother. After some research I called Acti-Kare & spoke with A Jose. Jose was very understanding and help me out with my needs & scheduling. The girl that has been servicing my father has been nothing short of an angel herself. Very friendly, nice & complete understanding of my fathers needs with a VERY STRONG passion to help, not to mention lots of patience . Over the corse of time Ive had to make numerous changes & request do to all my parents medical needs with doctor appointments. Ever time Ive called Jose has been right there & has gone above & beyond the call of duty. Jose has gone out of his way to help. My mother passed away in early September & I need more time & coverage for my father. Once again Jose was right there . I now have 2 defiantly young ladies that come to help with the care of my father. Both girls are nothing short of amazing. The care & understanding that they provide to my father is absolutely amazing. Gaulalope & Sadia are true angels.
Since my elderly Father moved in with us several years ago after my Mother passed away, we have tried multiple agencies. Some agencies kept increasing their rates every few months. Every agency had difficulty providing consistent help. The turnover was extremely high, and many times we would get a call in the morning (5 minutes before help was scheduled to arrive) from the previous agencies stating that the scheduled assistant called out and they had no one to send. The employees of the other agencies constantly complained about the companies they worked for. We went through this with no less than three other agencies before switching to Acti-Kare. What a difference Acti-Kare has been. We were starting to get worried that all agencies were the same. I'm glad to say they are not. Acti-Kare truly cares about providing my Dad with quality care. After being with them for a year now, they literally have not missed one shift! They have been a lifesaver! With my wife and I raising two children and having full time careers, without the consistent help from Acti-Kare, we would have to consider putting my Dad in assisted living, which would be horrible! He was in AL for a short time after getting Covid and came home with bed sores! If you are working with another agency and struggling with them like I did, call Acti-Kare. You won't find an agency that cares more about providing you and your family with consistent reliable help, and who treats their help right (haven't had one employee complain about them). All agencies are not the same, thank goodness!
I contacted Acti-Kare of Arlington on short notice as the need for services arose suddenly. My family didn't have much confidence that any company would be able to help given the timeframe. Acti-Kare was able to meet our needs. The staff was kind, caring and did an excellent job. Overall they exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend!
